The  DRIFTProcess

Here at DRIFT, we believe that every cup of coffee should tell a story of care, dedication, and connection. That’s why our beans are sourced from farms across Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Peru, and Uganda—regions renowned for producing some of the world’s finest Caffea Arabica. Each farm is chosen not only for the excellence of its harvests but also for the passion and skill of the people who tend the land.

Coffee is more than just a crop; it is a livelihood. For many farming families, it represents generations of tradition and the foundation of their communities. Yet, because coffee is such a high-value commodity, farmers often face unique challenges—from volatile market prices to personal risks that come with protecting their crops. At Drift, we are committed to supporting them by ensuring fair pay, safe working conditions, and lasting partnerships built on respect and trust.

When you choose our coffee, you’re not only enjoying rich, carefully roasted beans—you’re also helping to protect the livelihoods of farming families around the globe. Together, we can ensure that the people who make your morning brew possible continue to thrive, while preserving the quality and sustainability of coffee for generations to come.

At Drift, roasting is more than a process—it’s a craft. Our expert roasters bring years of experience, precision, and passion to every batch, carefully balancing time, temperature, and technique to bring out the very best in each bean. We believe that coffee should reflect both its origin and the artistry of the roast, creating a cup that’s as unique as the people who enjoy it.

Our beans are sourced from some of the world’s most celebrated coffee regions:

    •    Brazil – prized for its smooth, nutty character and natural sweetness.

    •    Colombia – known for balanced acidity, caramel undertones, and a classic richness.

    •    Guatemala – offering deep, chocolatey flavors with bright, citrusy notes.

    •    Peru – delicate and floral, with a gentle sweetness and clean finish.

    •    Uganda – bold and complex, with earthy tones and a hint of fruitiness.

Each origin has its own story, and our roasters honour those distinctions by creating signature blends that highlight the diversity of flavours. Whether you prefer a vibrant, fruity cup or something rich and full-bodied, our blends are designed to showcase the harmony between farmer, bean, and roast.

At DRIFT, every roast is a collaboration between tradition and innovation—an invitation to experience coffee at its finest.

At DRIFT, sustainability isn’t just a talking point—it’s at the heart of everything we do. From the moment our beans are harvested to the time they’re roasted and brewed into your cup, we are committed to ensuring that every step of the journey is as kind to the planet as possible.

Our roasting process is proudly carbon-negative, meaning we give back more than we take. Nothing goes to waste—every byproduct is put to use again. For example, the spent coffee grounds from our brews are mixed with reclaimed wooden pallets, which are transformed into sawdust. This innovative blend is then used to fuel our roaster, creating a closed-loop system that minimizes waste and reduces environmental impact.

But sustainability doesn’t stop with us. We take great care in choosing our partners and suppliers, working only with those who share our vision for a greener future. Each farm and producer we collaborate with is selected not only for the quality of their coffee but also for their commitment to responsible practices, often reflected in their B Corp certifications and sustainability initiatives.

For us, sustainability is more than a process—it’s a promise. A promise to our farmers, to our customers, and to the planet we all share. By carefully calculating the carbon footprint of every stage in our operation, we make sure that your cup of Drift coffee is as sustainable as it is delicious.
